Asset protection

In Russia, forced asset seizure occurs through various schemes and methods employed by both state entities and private individuals.

These methods include the use of law enforcement agencies and various legal mechanisms for criminal purposes. The judicial system is used by state and private raiders to cover up dubious legal schemes, giving them the appearance of legality.

Criminal cases are initiated against businessmen, preventive measures are applied, corporate and personal property is seized, and the mechanism of confiscation and the return of allegedly illegally acquired property to the state is utilized.

Dishonest individuals achieve their goals by establishing property and corporate control over businesses and assets. Through controlled bankruptcy procedures, property control is transformed into corporate control. Bankruptcy in Russia today is a legal means of redistributing property, and therefore the procedure is often used to legitimize a hostile takeover.

Conflicts between shareholders or partners are widely used as a pretext for artificially creating corporate disputes, which are then used to remove some owners and transfer ownership to others through corrupt schemes.

Media attacks are organized to discredit the business or its owners by spreading false accusations and negative rumors, which adversely affect public opinion, harm business reputations, and lead to a decrease in asset value.

Our working mechanism involves active participation in all civil, arbitration, and criminal court proceedings in Russia, through which necessary evidence of the illegality of opponents’ actions is meticulously gathered.

We maintain contacts with the journalistic community and, if necessary, assist in the preparation and publication of articles in various media outlets (including foreign ones), as media coverage of court proceedings reduces the influence of corruption in the actions of investigators and courts.

We make full use of all internal Russian legal remedies to collect the necessary documents for further appeals to international bodies for compensation of damages incurred.

We never leave unchecked the actions of opponents in court or their attempts to influence public opinion.
